Here's a good example of what I was talking about earlier: that when you get the trees right the rest doesn't matter so much.
This is one of many similar walks in the Buenos Retiro Park in Madrid. The tree cover is so superb you're not conscious at all that the path is just plain asphalt and that there is a lot of bare dirt around. The turf areas are patchy and covered in leaves but, again, you don't care. The experience of walking through here is just something you didn't want to end. Truly magical.
It's about the trees folks. Always has been, always will be.
