This time it's the new Goods Shed in Claremont.
Wide open (read hot) concrete concourse planted with Ornamental Pear trees (read small, narrow, pretty much useless).
Whoever sits on those benches 'aint gonna get much shade!
Can you imagine the glare in this area in summer?
Are we learning nothing here?
Do we actually believe that CANOPY is required in this city or do we just talk the talk?
We need to start playing to WIN folks. At present we're playing "not to lose". BIG difference.
It's all very sad actually. Generations to come aren't going to enjoy the magnificent big shade trees we all grew up with because we were too scared to plant them.
Shame on us.
