Onya Unley

The City of Unley (SA) is on the right track as you can see from this report.

Brooklyn, New York

Lots of good stuff here but what stood out for me was the comment that the extent of a tree's canopy is only part of the story. It's also about the total leaf area of the canopy.

Because trees with more leaf area deliver more "ecosystem services" - which is just a fancy term for benefits.

Basically the report's saying that big trees kick ass and should be the focus of our planting efforts.

If you haven't already Mr/Ms Parks and Gardens Manager, take the pledge today!

Your grandchildren will thank you for it.
