Sallow Tallow

This Chinese Tallow in Stevens St, Claremont looked like this ten years ago when I first worked there. 

It's one in a line of half a dozen that (presumably) the resident planted on their long side verge.

The rest are much the same.

Chinese Tallow (Sapium sebiferum) doesn't work in Perth's alkaline sand and shouldn't be used as a street tree here.

It's especially a wasted opportunity when there are no overhead powerlines as is the case here.
