Good enough to eat

And here's what they look like AFTER shedding. Very similar to a Lemon-scented Gum but the give-away is the little blobs of orange that remain on the trunk. 






























As you can see in this shot, the Lemon-scented Gum doesn't have them.









































These are two of the very best large "gum"* trees for Perth. Chuck in Tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) and you have the trifecta!

* I say "gum" because the term usually refers to Eucalyptus species but Sydney Red Gum is Angophora costata and Lemon-scented Gum is Corymbia citriodora. But hey, if it looks, smells and tastes like a gum….
