It's not a great time to be in Boston in some ways.
The trees are yet to fully leaf up and everything looks a bit bare to be honest.
But it's the perfect time to look at Crabapples (Malus sp.) because you get:
a) scarlet (flower buds that haven't opened yet)
b) pale pink (the young flowers)
c) white (the mature flowers)
b) green (the new leaves)
e) plum (the "apples" - see second picture)
Together, it's a great effect.
