We have to stop doing this - ie planting Bottlebrushes on verges with no overhead power lines.
Please, if you're a Parks and Gardens manager, sign the pledge today:
"I will never again plant a Bottlebrush where I can plant a REAL tree"
If you need some inspiration, check out the Brimbank City Council's Urban Forest Strategy ("where no power lines are present, only large trees will be planted")
I'm planning to visit them next week and have a look at what they're doing as it sounds very impressive.
