Australian trees are social animals

They're so much more comfortable in groups.

Look at this magnificent grove of Sydney Red Gums (Angophora costata) in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

There's seven of them jammed into just a few square metres. And they're loving it. They're all protecting each other and having a jolly good time thanks very much.

We should do more of this...
