A long time favourite

Welshpool Rd, Wattle Grove (click to enlarge)

This magnificent cathedral of Lemon-scented Gums (Eucalyptus citriodora) is on Welshpool Rd, Wattle Grove.

We don't do enough of this: close spacing of large trees. It seems to work particularly well with Australian trees - really brings out their character.

Seeing this today made me think again how timid we've become with our tree planting.
